The project included construction of a new 8,430-square-foot, single-story addition to accommodate Junior Achievement’s Finance Park, along with a comprehensive renovation of the existing facility. The addition features a structural steel frame with a masonry and EIFS exterior system.

Scope of work encompassed the development of a dedicated bus parking lot and new bus circulation lanes, interior finish upgrades to the existing BizTown space, replacement of the building’s exterior envelope, including EIFS and masonry wainscot, installation of custom vinyl wall graphics, and a complete upgrade to the electrical service.

As an expansion to Junior Achievement’s Biz Town, the new building will host the Finance Park program for Middle School and High School students.

During the initial demolition, Limestone discovered issues with the existing building’s exterior envelope which required immediate remediation.  Through working with the owner, architect, exterior envelope
consultant, and subcontractors, Limestone has been able to creatively solve the issue for 25% less than originally estimated and without delaying the construction of the new addition.  Despite these obstacles, Limestone is still scheduled to complete this project under budget and ahead of schedule.
